To customize the ribbon

You can customize the ribbon using the Customize Ribbon page. You can add, move and remove commands from the ribbon, customize tabs and groups, and set your own keyboard shortcuts.

To display the Customize Ribbon page, right-click the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon, then select Customize Ribbon in the list on the left of the dialog.

To add a command to the ribbon:

  1. Select a category in the Choose commands from list.
  2. In the left list, select the button you want to add to the ribbon.
  3. In the right list, select the tab and group to which you want to add a button.
    Note: You can only add buttons to a custom group.
  4. Click Add to add the selected button to the selected group.

To remove a command from the ribbon, select it in the list on the right and click Remove.

To create a custom tab, click New Tab.

To create a new group, select a custom tab and click New Group.

To rename an item, select it in the list and click Rename. You can use different names for the same button in different places.

To reset the ribbon to default, click Reset.
