Better Timeline FX alpha caching, and Copy Effects keyboard shortcut.
Timeline FX Alpha Caching
When working with Timeline FX generating Alpha—Action, 2D Transform, Matchbox, BFXa, Text—Timeline now renders both RGB and alpha channel stream.
Benefits of the new Timeline FX alpha caching:
- Improved interactivity: background elements with an alpha channel now provides better interaction when adding Timeline FX on top of these elements in the following scenarios:
- Single-segment FX—using any FX on top of pre-rendered FX providing Alpha channel.
- Multi-Track effects
- Faster multi-track effects rendering.
- Content with cached alpha channel can be exported as RGBA media. For more information, see
Media Export.
- Committing Batch FX on a BFXa not part of a composite (Comp FX disabled
or without a background segment) now creates a Matte Container.
- Committing a Timeline FX on a segment with Alpha not part of a composite (Comp FX disabled
or without a background segment) now creates a multi-channel segment.
Copy Effect
In the Timeline and Effects environments, you can now use the
Copy Effect keyboard shortcut to copy the current or selected Timeline FX.
