Display, position, and customize the navigation bar.
Display Navigation Bar.
- Click in the graphics window.
- On the ribbon, click View tab Windows panel User Interface, and select the Navigation Bar check box.
Close the Navigation Bar to Hide It
- On the navigation bar:
- Click Close.
or
- Right-click a control, and click Close navigation bar.
Add Commands to Navigation Bar
- On the navigation bar, click Customize.
- On the Customize menu, click a navigation tool to display it on the navigation bar.
A check mark next to a navigation tool name indicates that it is displayed on the navigation bar.
Remove Commands from the Navigation Bar
- On the navigation bar:
- Right-click a command, and click Remove from Navigation Bar.
or
- Click Customize, and on the Customize menu, click the command to remove.
Reposition the Navigation Bar and ViewCube
Link Position of Navigation Bar to ViewCube
- On the navigation bar, click Customize.
- On the Customize menu, click Docking PositionsLink to ViewCube.
When Link to ViewCube is checked, both the navigation bar and ViewCube are repositioned together around the current window. When ViewCube is not displayed, the navigation bar is docked in the same location as the ViewCube would be.
Position Navigation Bar along Edge of Window
- On the navigation bar, click Customize.
- On the Customize menu, click Docking PositionsLink to ViewCube.
The grip handle for the navigation bar displays along the top of the navigation bar.
- Click the grip handle and drag the navigation bar to any location along the edge of the window, and release..
Drag the navigation bar to the top or bottom of the window to orient it horizontally. Drag it to the left or right side of the window to orient it vertically.
- Drag the navigation bar along the edge of the window to adjust its position along the edge.
Adjust Opacity of the Navigation Bar
- On the navigation bar, click Customize.
- On the Customize menu, click Inactive opacity or Active opacity and make a selection.
