The latest additions to Maya deformers
Before and After: The Jiggle deformer with and without GPU and Cached Playback support
- Jiggle deformer
-
The
Jiggle deformer has been added to the list of
GPU Supported deformers, and Jiggle Deformer is now supported by
Cached Playback. These improvements mean better deformation performance.
To try it, check out this
interactive demo!
- Morph Tangential Damping
-
- A new
Tangential Damping slider has been added to the
Morph Deformer constraints options in the
Attribute Editor to let you adjust the effects created by using the
Inward and
Outward Morph constraints, which when they have the same value, have a similiar effect as Envelope.
- See
Morph Deformer constraints options and
Create a sliding effect with the Morph deformer.
- Morph Retarget options
-
-
-
A new
Retarget Morph Mode has been added to the Morph deformer
Morph options. See
Retarget animation with the Morph Deformer.
- Morph Mirror options
-
-
A new
Mirror Morph Mode has been added to the Morph deformer
Morph options to give you an easy way to reflect geometry.
See Mirror Geometry with the Morph deformer.
- Improved deformer weight visualization
-
- Deformer Weight Visualization has been improved to make it easier to see if geometry or components are selected. Previously, selecting vertices while using weight visualization in the Component Tag options was hard to see.
