Managing repair scripts

Import and export scripts, delete them, and manage the individual actions in a script.

In addition to creating and running repair scripts, the Repair Scripts tab in the repair module allows you to load scripts, execute individual repair actions, rearrange script actions, delete scripts, or delete script actions.

Note: All of these actions are available only within a loaded instance of the repair module. Open it by choosing Home > Repair Part from the default module's main menu. In the context view, switch to the Repair Scripts tab.

To import a repair script from a file

  1. Click More Actions and choose Load Script.
  2. Browse for the script file (*.repair) and click Open.

To export a repair script to a file

  1. Select the script to export from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click More Actions and choose Save Current Script.
  3. Browse for the desired location for the file (*.repair) and specify a name.
  4. Click Save.

To execute individual repair actions

  1. Choose a repair script from the drop-down menu.
  2. Double-click the green tickmark.

To delete a script

  1. Choose a repair script from the drop-down menu.
    Note: Default scripts installed with the product cannot be deleted.
  2. Click Delete Current Script.

To delete a script action

  1. Choose a repair script from the drop-down menu.
    Note: Default scripts installed with the product cannot be edited.
  2. Double-click Delete next to the repair action to be removed.
