Updating the Power Features in your model

If you add or remove a component from your model, use the Assembly tab > Power Features panel > Generate/Remove option toupdate the Power Features in the model.

If you change a Power Feature and try to save the model, a message warns you that the definition contains features that are out of date. If you continue with the save operation, the icon in the Power Features branch of the assembly tree will indicate the out of date Power Feature. The component that contains the out of date Power Feature is indicated by the icon in the assembly tree.

Note: You can also right-click the component in the graphics window and select Power Features > Generate/Remove from the context menu. This generates or removes any Power Features in the selected target components, rather than the whole assembly. The Remove Power Features dialog is only displayed if the Show Generate Power Features dialog option is selected on the File > Options > Application Options > Assembly > General dialog. If this option is deselected, the component selection is filtered to identify the target and source components. However, the dialog is displayed if a selected component could be a source or a target.
