To create hatching:
-
Create a drawing or
open an existing drawing.
- Click Annotation tab > Hatch panel > Pattern.
- Select a hatch pattern from the split button menu.
To use an existing user-defined hatch:
- Click Annotation tab > Hatch panel > Pattern > User to display the
User Defined Hatch Patterns dialog.
- Select a pattern and click
OK.
- Select the
hatch boundary on the items in your drawing.
- Use the
Create Hatch toolbar to create the hatched region.
This toolbar is similar to the one used for creating a composite curve by tracing, except the 'turn left at branch' is the default option on the
Create Hatch
control panel. This option can help you to quickly create a hatch boundary if you select the first object carefully.
Note: If you select a composite curve, the
Create Hatch control panel is not displayed and the hatch is automatically created.
