Fabric Sheet Type Properties

View and modify the parameters that define the type properties of fabric reinforcement sheets.

To change type properties, select an element and click Modify tabProperties panel (Type Properties). Changes to type properties apply to all instances in the project.

Name Description
Construction
Major Direction Wire Type Indicates the type of fabric wire in the major direction.
Minor Direction Wire Type Indicates the type of fabric wire in the minor direction.
Default Major Lap/Splice Length Specifies the length of the major lap-splice.
Default Minor Lap/Splice Length Specifies the length of the minor lap-splice.
Rounding Overrides Specifies the rounding parameters for the selected fabric sheet type. This overrides the rounding parameters defined in the Fabric Sheet Instance Properties dialog.
Note: This parameter is available only if reinforcement rounding was specified in the project.
Materials and Finishes
Material Specifies the material to use with the fabric sheet.
Physical Material Asset Displays the name of the Physical Material Asset (read-only).
Structural
Sheet Mass Specifies the value of Sheet Mass.
Sheet Mass per Unit Area Displays the value of Sheet Mass per Unit Area.
Major Reinforcement Area Displays the value of Major Reinforcement Area.
Minor Reinforcement Area Displays the value of Minor Reinforcement Area.
Layers
Overall Length Specifies the length of the fabric sheet (including overhangs) in the major direction.
Length Displays the distance between first and last bar (Number of Wires x Spacing) (read-only).
Major Start Overhang Specifies the distance from the edge of the sheet to the first wire (measured in the major direction).
Major End Overhang Specifies the distance from the last wire to the edge of the sheet (measured in the major direction).
Major Layout Pattern Indicates the pattern for laying out the major direction wires.

    The following patterns are available:

  • Fixed Number: Specifies the number of evenly distributed wire.
  • Maximum Spacing: Specifies a maximum distance between wires. The number of wires adjusts to fall within this parameter.
  • Number with Spacing: Specifies the number and distance between wires. End Overhang is calculated based on the distance beyond the defined width (or length) of the sheet.
  • Actual Spacing: Specifies the distance between wires. You specify the Start Overhang and the End Overhang is calculated.
Major Number of Wires Specifies the number of wires used in the major direction (includes the first and last wires).
Major Spacing Specifies the spacing between the wires (not including the overhangs).
Overall Width Specifies the width of the fabric sheet (including overhangs) in the major direction.
Width Displays the distance between first and last bar (Number of Wires x) (read-only).
Minor Start Overhang Specifies the distance from the edge of the sheet to the first wire (measured in the minor direction).
Minor End Overhang Specifies the distance from the last wire to the edge of the sheet (measured in the minor direction).
Minor Layout Pattern Indicates the pattern for laying out the minor direction wires. See the Major Layout Pattern description above.
Minor Number of Wires Specifies the number of wires used in the minor direction (includes the first and last wires).
Minor Spacing Specifies the spacing between the wires (not including the overhangs).
