Fabric Sheet Instance Properties

View and modify the parameters that define the instance properties of fabric reinforcement sheets.

To change instance properties, select the element and change its properties on the Properties palette.

Name Description
Construction
Partition Specifies the partition in which the fabric sheet is associated. To change a partition, select from the drop-down list or enter a new partition name. See About Rebar Partitioning.
Fabric Number Specifies the number of the selected fabric sheet. If assigned to a partition, sheets with identical types, sizes, shapes, and materials will share numbers. See Rebar Numbering.
Bend Direction Specifies which edge of the fabric sheet is bent, either Major or Minor.
Longitudinal Cut Length Specifies the cut length of the fabric sheet perpendicular to the bent edge.
Location Displays the location of the fabric sheet in the host element (either Top or Bottom for floors and foundation slabs; Internal or External for walls).
Additional Cover Offset This read-only parameter displays an additional offset to the outside face of the fabric sheet.
Cut by Host Cover Select to trim the fabric sheet by the host cover. This includes openings in the host. Deselect to allow a fabric sheet to extend beyond the host cover and edges.
Rounding Overrides Specifies the rounding parameters for the selected fabric sheet instance. This overrides the rounding parameters defined in the Fabric Sheet Type Properties dialog.
Note: This parameter is available only if reinforcement rounding was specified in the project.
Structural
Cut Sheet Mass Calculates and displays the total sheet mass as cut.
Dimensions
Cut Overall Length This read-only parameter displays the length of fabric wires in the major direction. The first value is the actual cut length; the parenthetical value is the rounded length.
Cut Overall Width This read-only field displays the length of fabric wires in the minor direction. The first value is the actual cut length; the parenthetical value is the rounded length.
Major Lap Splice Length This read-only parameter displays the distance of the overlap between fabric sheets in the major direction.
Minor Lap Splice Length This read-only parameter displays the distance of the overlap between fabric sheets in the minor direction.
A, B, C, ... Specifies the length of each segment in the bent fabric sheet.
Note: If you use reinforcement rounding in the project, these dimensions display in a dual format: exact and rounded in brackets. You can edit only exact values. See Reinforcement Rounding.
Identity Data
Comments User comments.
Mark A label used, for example, as a shop mark. This value must be unique for each element in a project. Revit warns you if the value is in use, but allows you to continue using it. You can see the warning using the Review Warnings command. See Reviewing Warning Messages.
Host Category Specifies the current host associated with the reinforcement elements: Structural Column, Structural Framing, Structural Foundation, Wall, Floor, or Part.
Host Mark Specifies the Mark parameter of the rebar host.
Phasing
Phase Created Indicates the creation phase of the host element. See Project Phasing.
Phase Demolished Indicates the demolition phase of the host element. See Project Phasing.
