To Work With Searching for Content

Search for Content by Category

1. At the Command prompt, type the keyword that corresponds to the content you want to find. (Do not press Enter.)

   Spell the text as shown, with no spaces.

   • block
   • layer
   • hatch
   • textstyle
   • dimstyle
   • visualstyle (not available in AutoCAD LT)

   The command line suggestion list expands to show a suggestion for the content category you specified.

2. Expand the drop-down list next to the category if necessary. Hover over the items on the list to see a thumbnail preview.
3. Select the named object to apply it.

Search for Content by Name

1. At the Command prompt, type the name of the content you want to find. (Do not press Enter.)

   The command line suggestion list shows a suggestion for the content name you specified.

2. Select the named object and follow the prompts to apply it.
