To Generate a PLC Module

Parametrically generate a PLC module adapting to the underlying rung spacing. Modules are defined in the PLC database.

  1. Click Schematic tab Insert Components panel Insert PLC drop-down Insert PLC (Parametric). Find
  2. In the upper left of the PLC Parametric Selection dialog box, locate the PLC in the tree, expanding the manufacturer, series, and type.
  3. Select the module.
  4. Select the graphical style of the PLC module as needed.
  5. Select its orientation as needed.
  6. Enter the scale for the PLC module if other than 1.0.
  7. Click OK to insert the PLC module.
  8. Use the preview of the module outline to pick an insertion point.
  9. (Optional) Select Allow Spacers/Breaks option on the Module Layout dialog box to break the module.
  10. (Optional) If the module has connections marked as Optional in the PLC database, select to include or exclude them.
  11. Click OK.
  12. Answer the prompts. The prompts vary depending on the module definition.
  13. Click OK.
  14. Enter or select a first address.
  15. If prompted, select an addressing style.
