To Modify the Properties of a Schematic Line

You modify the properties of schematic lines using the Properties palette.

  1. Select the schematic lines.
  2. If you want to change the system definition of the schematic lines, in the Design tab of the Properties Palette Basic General System . The Styles Browser palette loads with the Object Type Schematic System Definitions:
    If you want to select a system… then in the Styles Browser palette…
    in the current drawing select the Drawing File as Current Drawing.

    Pick a style from the gallery and click to apply the new style to the selected symbols.

    in all open drawings set the Drawing Source to Currently Open Drawings and the Drawing File to All Drawings.

    Pick a style from the gallery and click to apply the new style to the selected symbols.

    in all open drawings except the current drawing set the Drawing Source to Currently Open Drawings and the Drawing File to All Without Current Drawing.

    Pick a style from the gallery and click to apply the new style to the selected symbols.

    in Content Library Drawings set the Drawing Source to Content Library Drawings and choose an appropriate file from the Drawing File drop-down.

    Pick a style from the gallery and click to apply the new style to the selected symbols.

    in a drawing in the directory specified as the default content location for electrical panels or a drawing template set the Drawing Source to Content Library Drawings and the Drawing File to Manage Content Library. In the Content Drawings Library dialog box, add a folder or a drawing containing the styles.
  3. On the Design tab of the Properties palette, modify the properties:
    If you want to modify… then…
    the description expand Basic General. For Description, click to revise the description, and click OK.
    the layer on which the schematic lines are placed for Layer, select a layer. You can select from the layers in the current drawing.
    the style for Style, select a style. You can select from the styles in the current drawing.
    the location click Additional information, enter the new coordinates for the insertion point on the Location worksheet, and click OK.
    Note: You can also move schematic lines using grips or the AutoCAD® MOVE command.
    the ID expand Advanced Design Data. For ID, enter an ID. The selected style determines the list of available IDs.
  4. Press Esc.
