Use the Autodesk Civil 3D breakline tools to find, report, and correct intersecting breaklines in a survey database or in a surface to which the breakline geometry has been added.
Any invalid conditions in breakline geometry can cause issues in surface creation.
The following drawing shows an example of two crossing breaklines that create an invalid condition when two elevations exist at the intersection point of the breaklines (1 and 2).
The breakline tools enable you to:
- Identify crossing breaklines in a survey database, survey figure, or a surface created from survey data.
- Edit breakline elevations to resolve issues caused by crossing breaklines.
- Create reports on crossing breaklines or breaklines that fall outside of specified ranges.
