About Part Features
When modeling parts in Autodesk Inventor, you’ll encounter three types of part features: work features, sketched features, and placed features.
About Work Features
Work features include work planes, work axes, and work point.
About Sketched Features
Sketched features include extruded profiles and shapes, revolved shapes, sweeps, lofts, coils, and ribs.
About Placed Features
Placed features include fillets, chamfers, holes, threads, drafts, and shells.
About Deleting and Suppressing Features
Some dependent features can be deleted, others can be left "floating" without a parent feature, and some can lose optional constraints.
About Part Feature Patterns
You can arrange part, surface, and assembly features in a pattern to represent hole patterns or textures, slots, notches, or other symmetrical arrangements.
