Change one type of selection to another

When you have one type of component selected you can automatically select a corresponding component of a different type. For example, you can select a face and then use the Select > Convert Selection > To Edges command to select the edges around the face.

The Select > Convert Selection menu items do not change or convert the actual geometry. They only change which components are selected. The menu includes many specific conversion options. For more information, see Convert Selection Options.

Tip: Many of the convert selection commands are also available from the polygon marking menu. (Ctrl + right-click whenever a polygon component is selected.)
