For Generative Design in Revit, you can organize study types in folders and add the folders to a drop-down list for easy access from the Create Study dialog.
When creating a study, you first select a folder. For Choose Folder, the drop-down list displays only the folder names. To see the complete path, hover over the folder name in the list. When you select a folder, the Create Study dialog displays all study types that reside in the folder.
You can add more folders to the drop-down list. You can specify folders on your computer and mapped network drives.
To add a folder
You can place study types in the folder before or after adding the folder to the list.
If you're using Dynamo for Revit, open the Create Study dialog as directed in Create a Study Using Dynamo for Revit.
You can specify a folder on your computer or on a mapped network drive.
The selected folder path displays in the list.
You can now choose the added folder from the drop-down list.
If the Create Study dialog does not list any study types, move the DYN file and its associated Dependencies folder into the target folder.
To remove a folder
The removed folder no longer appears in the Manage Folders list or the drop-down list in the Create Study dialog.
