When defining the division of a part into smaller parts, change properties to specify the divider gap, the split profile type, and more.
To change instance properties, select the element and change its properties on the Properties palette.

Divider gap | Specifies the distance between divided parts when you are dividing them or editing an existing division. The default value is 0' 0" , which results in no gap. |

Split Profile Type | Applies the pre-loaded profile you select from the drop-down list to part edges along dividers. The default value is None. Depending on the profile type selected, the following 4 parameters may be available for specifying how the profile is applied. |
Edge Match | Specifies which of the following 3 ways the profiles on either side of a divider gap will be oriented:

Profile Along Flip | Applicable to all 3 Edge Match options, this parameter flips the profiles 180 degrees horizontally. For example, with this parameter selected, the Complementary profiles shown above would look like this: |
Profile Across Flip | Applicable to the complementary and rotated Edge Match options, this parameter flips the profiles 180 degrees vertically. For example, with this parameter selected, the Complementary profiles shown above would look like this: |
Profile Offset | Specifies the distance that the profile is offset from the divider. |
