Animating results provides a time-history of the results. In this case, it is a very useful way for understanding how quickly the valve heats up. Animating helps us to understand how the temperature distribution changes with time. This sort of information is useful for assessing thermal stresses which may lead to failure.
Click Planes from the Results tab:
To orient the plane, left click on it, and click Z from the context toolbar:
Move the cut plane close to the symmetry face.
To display a temperature results plane, select Temperature from the Result menu on the Planes context panel.
To open the Animation dialog, right click off the model, and select Animation.
Click the Select all button
Click the Animate button.
Click the Play button to animate the results.
To stop the animation, click the Pause button.
To clear the Active Results list, click the Reset button.
