Suppress Item Dialogs in the Vault Client

You can suppress certain Item Dialogs to streamline your workflow.

Suppress the Edit Item dialog after performing an Assign/Update Item action

    By default, when an assign or update item action occurs, the Edit Item dialog automatically opens. You can configure your Vault settings so that the Edit Item dialog does not open after selecting Assign/Update Item.

  1. Go to Tools > Options to open the Options dialog.
  2. Select Edit item dialog after Assign Item to suppress the Edit Item dialog after assigning items.
  3. Select Edit item dialog after Update Item to suppress the Edit item dialog after updating items.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

Suppress the Associated Items Dialog after performing a Go To Item action

    By default, when a Go To Item action is performed, the Associated Items dialog displays if more than one item is associated with the selected file. This dialog can be suppressed.

  1. Go to Tools > Options to open the Options dialog.
  2. Select Associated Items dialog to suppress the Associated Items dialog after performing a Go To Item action.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.

Suppress the New Item-Select Category Dialog

    By default, when a new item is created in Vault, the Select Category dialog displays. You can suppress this dialog so that the default category is selected whenever a new item is created.

  1. Go to Tools > Options to open the Options dialog.
  2. Select New Item-Select Category dialog to suppress this dialog whenever a new item is created.
  3. Click OK to save your changes.
