Create a Group of 4 Axes

This tool creates a group of four single axes with identical distance. The alignment is independent of the coordinate system but the group is created in the X/Y plane of the active UCS.

You can create the axis group by defining the start point and the end point of the first single axis (the group width). A third point determines the axis group direction relative to the start point and its length.

To access the command

On the Objects tab Grid panel, click (Grid with 4 axes).

Command line: _AstM4CommGridAxes

To create a group of 4 axes

  1. Set a suitable coordinate system.
  2. On the Objects tab Grid panel, click (Grid with 4 axes).
  3. Specify the start point of the first grid line.
  4. Specify the end point of the first grid line. The two points define the group width.
  5. Specify a third point to define the group length and direction.
