To Define Panel Layout Drawing Defaults

  1. Click Panel tabOther Tools panelPanel Configuration drop-down Configuration. Find
  2. Enter a first item number.
    Note: This value controls item numbering on schematic and panel components.
  3. Click Setup in the Balloon section to open the Panel balloon setup dialog box where you pick a balloon type, text size, and leader arrow type.
  4. If you change the balloon setup, and want to update any existing balloons, check Apply to all Balloons in Active Drawing.
  5. Click Setup in the Footprint layers section to define the panel component layers, non-text graphic layers, and nameplate layers.
  6. Enter the default spacing used when you insert multiple panel footprints from a schematic list.
    Note: This value can be overridden at insertion time.
  7. Enter the default footprint insertion scale.
  8. If you want to insert the attribute template when a footprint is inserted, check Enabled. Enter a scale factor if you want to scale the footprints during insertion.
  9. Enter the x, y, or z-offset value used in the Panel Wire Connection report. If your footprint symbols carry the X?TERMxx attributes, their XYZ wire connection location is included in the report and offset by these values.
  10. Use the Setup button to define the default wire connection text format used by the Wire Annotation command.
  11. Click OK.
