To Create a Traverse From a Polyline

Load traverse data from a polyline, automatically creating traverse sides between each polyline vertex.

  1. At the command line, enter CogoEditor.
  2. In the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box, click .
  3. In the drawing, select a polyline.

    The Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box is populated with the appropriate number of sides. Parameter values in the table are calculated based on the location of the polyline vertices.

    Preview glyphs of the point of beginning, point of closure, lines, and curves are displayed in the drawing.

  4. In the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box, adjust the parameters as necessary.

  5. Create additional sides as needed, and then specify the requisite parameters.

  6. On the main toolbar, click to save the traverse to a TRV or TRVX file.
  7. Click Close.
