Note: If the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box is already open, click to clear the dialog box and create a new traverse.
  2. In the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box, specify the following data:
Note: For information on options for entering data into the Coordinate Geometry Editor dialog box, see About Entering Data into the Coordinate Geometry Editor.
    • Adjustment and Balance Rules—Adjustment method used when generating a traverse report.
    • Point of Beginning—Base point for the traverse.
    • Point of Closure—End point of the traverse, if the traverse is open.

Preview glyphs of the point of beginning and point of closure are displayed in the drawing.

Note: Preview graphic colors may be configured through the Coordinate Geometry Editor Settings.
  3. Specify the Angle/Direction and Distance of the first line.
Note: The first side of a traverse must be a line.

A preview of the line is displayed in the drawing.

  4. Specify subsequent Side Types, and then the requisite parameters.

For more information, see About Creating and Modifying Traverse Sides.

  5. On the main toolbar, click to save the traverse to a TRV or TRVX file.
  6. Click Close.
