Create and name a new project in the database. A project is a way of grouping industry models for a particular situation, such as a new development or a maintenance project. For example, you might create a new project for a residential development that includes water, electrical, and wastewater industry models. You can create multiple projects, and each project can contain multiple industry models. An industry model can be referenced by more than one project. Use
to remove a project. Each industry model is a database schema optimized for a particular type of data (for example, water, wastewater, electric, and so on). Specify the extensions and modules for each industry model that you want to add to the new project. See About Industry Model Modules.
You can also specify units, spatial settings, and job-related settings.
You can create an industry model using a data model template, which is a predefined data structure. Creating a new industry model with a template is the same as creating an Oracle database schema.
You control access to the project using groups and user roles. For Oracle-based systems only, if you need multiple levels of access, you can create a guest user.
A guest user accesses the main industry model using a particular a role. You can create different roles to provide different levels of access to the main industry model. A guest user uses an industry model without data tables, but only synonyms and privileges on the main industry model. You can create a user <guest> with the role TBR_<guest> that defines the relation between the main industry model and the guest. For more information, see Security Administrator Reference.
