To set industry model map options

  1. In the AutoCAD Map 3D toolset Maintenance workspace, connect to the enterprise industry model and open a project.
  2. Click Setup tab > Options panel > Industry Model Options.
  3. In the Industry Model Options dialog box, in the tree view, click Map Options.
    Note:

    Global industry model map options override the Map enterprise industry model options.

    Display Info about Label's Parent

    Select this option to view information about the related object when you click a label in the map. For example, click a point number to view information about the point. If you clear the check box, only label information is displayed.

    Open Form In Edit Mode After Digitizing

    Select this option to make forms ready for additional attributes when you use Create A Feature With Form. The form opens as editable after digitizing.

    Vicinity For Digitizing Points [m]

    Select this option to use the "Z (height)" and "QUALITY" attributes from nearby existing points for new points you create. The results of the vicinity search are displayed in the command window. Use the Industry Model Options dialog box to specify feature classes for the vicinity search.

    Always Display Highlighted Features

    Select this option to display the features that are currently excluded by a filter setting, such as a viewport, or any other Display Manager filter. For example, this option regenerates the graphic when you highlight tracing results.

    Zoom For Feature Highlight/Zoom GoTo

    Specify the zoom factor for highlighting the current feature of a feature class form or in the feature explorer using the highlight button.

    Configuration For Point Feature Classes Specify the fixed size of the viewport.
    Configuration For Other Feature Class Types Specify a magnification value for the viewport as follows:
    • 0: The current viewport does not change when you highlight a feature
    • 0 to 1: Zooms in. For example, enter 0.5 to zoom to the features and then zoom in with a factor of 2.
    • 1 or higher: Zooms out. For example, enter 2 to zoom to the features with a factor of 2.
    The viewport size is calculated based on the feature extension.
    Perimeter Display Options Specify how a job perimeter is displayed in the map. You can highlight the perimeter with a solid or hatch pattern. See also Set Up Jobs.
    Vicinity Search Specify how the vicinity search for digitizing points is applied.
