Place Multiple Instances of a Coordination Model

After adding a coordination model, you can place multiple instances to add context to your design.

You can use the Place Instance tool of the Manage Links dialog Coordination Model tab to do the following:

To place an instance

  1. Select the coordination model and click Modify| Coordination Model tab Coordination panel (Manage Links).

    OR

    Click Manage tabManage Project panel (Manage Links).

  2. In the Manage Links dialog Coordination Model tab, select the coordination model.
  3. From the Place Instance drop-down, for positioning, select an option:
    1. Origin to Origin to align the origin of the coordination model with the internal origin of the Revit model.
    2. Shared Coordinates to align the models based on shared coordinates.
  4. Click OK.
  5. (Optional) Select the linked model, move it to the desired location, and pin it in place so it is not inadvertently moved out of place.
