To Insert a Drawing Border, Calculating the Scale Factor Based on a Drawing Section (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

To calculate the scale factor for the drawing border, select all objects to include in the drawing border format or specify the height and the width for a drawing border.

1. Click Annotate tabSheet panelTitle Border. Find
2. In the Drawing Borders with Title Block dialog box:
   • Title Block: Select the title block from the list.
   • Paper Format: Select the paper format.
3. Choose Calculate <.
4. Select objects (or press ENTER to specify height/width).
5. Press ENTER.
6. Specify the first point for the width of the drawing or enter values.
7. Specify the second point for the width.
8. Specify the first point for the height of the drawing or enter values.
9. Specify the second point for the height.

Note:

If you select objects at Step 4, the program compares the sizes of the existing objects with the selected border format and calculates the scale factor so that all selected parts appear as large as possible within the border.
