To Create an Xref and a Component Drawing for Detailing (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. At the Command prompt, enter AMAUTODETAIL.
2. In the Assembly Drawing Detailing dialog box, select Selection by Objects.
3. Specify a file name for the xref and the path of the folder where you want to save this file.
4. Select the Create with Fixed Scale option and specify a scale.
5. Specify a title block.
6. Specify a file name for the component drawing and the path of the folder where you want to save this file.
7. Choose OK.
8. Specify an insertion point.
9. Select the objects you want included in your xref and component drawing, and press ENTER.
10. Select objects from other blocks you want included in your xref and component drawing, and press ENTER.
11. In the Edit Attributes dialog box, make the necessary entries, and click OK.
