To Create an External Drawing File (xref) for Detailing

1. At the Command prompt, enter AMAUTODETAIL.
2. In the Assembly Drawing Detailing dialog box, select Selection by Objects.
3. Specify a file name for the xref and the path of the folder where you want to save this file.
4. Clear the Create with Fixed Scale and Create with Fixed Paper Format check boxes.
5. Click OK.
6. Specify an insertion point for the xref.
7. Select the objects you want included in the xref drawing, and press Enter.
8. Select objects from other blocks you want included in the xref drawing, and press Enter.
