To Create Multiple Balloons (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

  1. Click Annotate tabBalloon panelBalloons. Find
  2. Examine the prompt and verify that the current BOM setting is correct.
  3. Enter A to select the AutoAll option, or T to select the Auto option. In the drawing area, the icon indicates part references and components (parts and assemblies).
    Note: Choose the Auto option to select only the non ballooned part references to create balloons. Choose the AutoAll option to create balloons for any part references in the drawing.
  4. Select the icon corresponding to the objects to create balloons for.
  5. Press ENTER to end the selection.
  6. To place the balloons along a horizontal line:
    1. At the command prompt, enter H.
    2. In the drawing area, click to indicate the position to place the balloons.

    To place the balloons along a vertical line:

    1. At the command prompt, enter V.
    2. In the drawing area, click to indicate the position to place the balloons.

    To place the balloons along a line that is not horizontal or vertical:

    1. At the command prompt, enter A.
    2. In the drawing area, click at two points to indicate the direction of the straight line.
    3. In the drawing area, click to indicate the position to place the balloons.

    To place the balloons around the objects you are creating balloons for:

    1. At the command prompt, enter R.
    2. Click in the drawing area to specify a corner of the rectangular area you want to place the balloons around.
    3. Click in the drawing area to specify the opposite corner.
    4. In the drawing area, click to indicate the position to place the balloons.
