AMPOWERDIM_ARCLEN (Command)

Creates arc length dimensions for arcs and arc segments on a polyline.

Summary

This command takes you directly to the Radial Arc Length option of the AMPOWERDIM command, reducing the number of prompts you must respond to. The dimension this command creates measures the distance between 2 points along an arc.

List of Prompts

The following prompts are displayed.

Select arc or polyline arc segment
Specifies the arc or circle to create dimensions for.
Dimension line location
Specifies where to place the dimension line. If you place the dimension off of an arc resulting in the dimension pointing outside an arc, AutoCAD Mechanical toolset automatically draws an arc extension line.
Partial
Creates an arc length dimension for only a section of the arc.
  • First point for arc length dimension - Specifies a point for the origin of the first extension line of the arc length dimension.
  • Second point for arc length dimension - Specifies a point for the origin of the second extension line of the arc length dimension.
Options

Displays the Power Dimension Options dialog box enabling you to pre-configure options for this command session.

Note: This option is visible in the command line only if the AMPOWERDIMEDITOR system variable is set to 0 or the ribbon is turned off.
