To Specify a Shaft Support (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

How to specify a fixed support or a moveable support for a shaft calculation.

The instructions on this page assume that you have already displayed the Shaft Calculation dialog box.

Specify a Fixed Support

1. In the Select Support section, click .
2. On the shaft centerline, click to indicate the insertion point.

Specify a Movable Support

1. In the Select Support section, click .
2. On the shaft centerline, click to indicate the insertion point.

Change the Location of a Support

1. In the Shaft Calculation dialog box, click Edit.
2. In the drawing area, click the support you want to move.
3. On the shaft centerline, click to indicate the new insertion point.

Erase a Support

1. In the Shaft Calculation dialog box, click Erase.
2. In the drawing area, click the support you want to remove.
3. Press ENTER.
