Specify Materials for Room Surfaces and Sub Areas

Apply Revit materials to surface areas and sub areas of room calculations.

1. To apply materials to single surfaces, open the Room Quantities dialog.

   To apply materials to sub areas , open the Sub Areas dialog.

2. (Surfaces only) In the Tree structure, find the room and resulting surfaces on which to apply the materials. and click the Details tab.
3. (Surfaces only) Expand the elements to find their surfaces.
4. In the Materials column, default materials are listed for the surface. To change the material click the Ellipses button.

   On the left side of the Select Surface Materials dialog the available Revit materials are listed. On the right side, the currently specified materials for the surface or sub area are listed.

5. Using the arrow buttons in the dialog, move materials to be used on the surface or sub area to the right column. Remove materials from a surface or sub area by moving them to the left column.
6. Click OK to apply the materials.
