Civil 3D Model Viewer Navigation

Navigate around your 3D model view from the navigation toolbar.

The navigation toolbar along the bottom of the model viewer contains the familiar navigation tools used in the Civil 3D workspace. The following navigation tools are available.

Objects. Opens the Objects Panel which lists the selected objects for the Model Viewer and specifies their visibility.

Pan. Enables click and drag panning of the model view.
Note: To pan the current view to your Civil 3D canvas, right-click in the Model Viewer canvas and select Pan to Current Viewort
Orbit Auto 3D. Enables click and drag spinning of the current model view. When you click and hold a green orb is visible in canvas. Dragging your mouse rotates your perspective of the model around the orb. There are two orbiting techniques:
Zoom. Enables click and drag zooming of the current model view. Click and move the mouse up to zoom in and down to zoom out.
Tip: Scrolling the mouse wheel up or down also zooms the view when panning or orbiting.

Set View. Mirrors the current view perspective in the Model Viewer to the Civil 3D drawing view.

Save Image. Saves the current Model Viewer canvas as an image. Click and save to a directory of your choice.

Settings. Opens the Settings Panel which specifies visual display styles and other Civil 3D Model Viewer settings.

Help. Opens the Civil 3D Model Viewer online help.
