A simulation replay can be captured and saved to a video (AVI) file. The following views can be recorded:
To record a simulation replay:
- Setup the parameters for the replay so that you record the data you want to see. The size of the replay window cannot be changed once recording has started
- Zoom-in and scroll the view being recorded to concentrate on the area of interest.
- Set the size of the view to the minimum necessary to show all the results you want to record. This helps reduce the size of the resulting AVI file.
- Click
(Replay Options) on the
Replay Toolbar
. This displays the
Replay Options dialog. In this dialog:
- Choose the start and finish times for the simulation replay. Limiting the time you record reduces the size of the AVI file.
- Adjust the replay speed to best suit the results you are recording. You may need to alter the speed by trial and error until the best output is generated in the AVI file.
- Click OK when finished.
- Click
(Record) on the Replay Control Toolbar. This displays a Windows File Save dialog.
- Choose where to save the AVI file. Give the file a name. As soon as you click Save the recording will begin.
- Recording will end when:
- The end of the replay time is reached.
- The replay is stopped.
- The window currently being recorded is closed.
