Product Licences

When the software is started, the system checks if a licence is required. If it is, and a current Autodesk or Innovyze supplied licence isn't detected, the software cannot be accessed and an error message is displayed.

Autodesk Licences

A licence is not required to access Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client, which is installed with Autodesk InfoWorks ICM as part of the ICMLive system. However, you will need an Innovyze licence to run simulations in the Operator Client. See Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client and Innovyze Licences (below) for details.

Please contact us if you require assistance with your licence.

Innovyze Licences

Innovyze offer subscription based Thales licences for ICMLive Operator Client.

These licences are simple to install, and additional users, software or features can be added to the licence remotely with little user interaction. You can also see who is running what using the Innovyze License Administrator (ILA), an example of which is shown below:

This type of licence allows the applicable software to run on your PC or network or remotely. An entitlement ID (EID) is provided by us, which your system administrator, or a user with similar privileges, uses to set up the license on a PC or network server using the ILA.

The ILA is automatically installed when the Innovyze version of ICMLive Operator Client is installed.
Note: If you are using Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client, your administrator will need to install Autodesk ICMLive (the Autodesk version of InfoWorks Server Configuration Manager) so that they can use the ILA, which is installed with Autodesk ICMLive, to setup the licence for Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client.

Please contact us for details of how to obtain a valid licence.

When the licence is set up, you can use the Licence Setup Wizard to select which licence is to be used with Innovyze ICMLive Operator Client and to perform other licence-related tasks.

Note: If you are using Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client, you can use the Innovyze Licence Server dialog (not the Licence Setup Wizard) to specify which licence is to be used with the Autodesk ICMLive Operator Client.

Licence error

A dialog is displayed if there is a problem accessing your licence. This may be because, for example, a firewall is preventing access to the ILA or a server hosting the licence can't be found. An example is shown below.

License expiry warning

A Licence Expiry Warning dialog is displayed when the software is started, if a licence is within one month of its expiry date.

Warnings will be displayed periodically (weekly when the license is within one month of its expiry date, daily when it is within one week of its expiry date).

The warnings appear by default, but can be turned off using the Licence expiry date reminder option on the General Page of the Options dialog. Alternatively, uncheck the Remind me later option on the warning dialog itself to disable the message display.
