Multiple barrel thermoplastics injection molding analysis is used to simulate the injection of a single material, so the part fills more quickly and packs more evenly.

The master barrel is set using a standard injection location. All injection locations you place on the model are master barrels, and take on the operating conditions from the information you provide in the Process Settings Wizard. Use the Process Settings Wizard to set the mold and melt temperatures, a delay time if necessary, and the Fill, Pack, and Cool settings for all the master barrels. Advanced options is used to define the molding material, machine settings, and solver parameters. The advanced options you set for the master barrel(s) are also used by all the sub-barrels.
Sub barrels are created using the Multiple Barrel panel on the Boundary Conditions tab. Each sub barrel can have some independent operating conditions, but uses the same Advanced options settings that you set for the master barrel. Independent barrel properties include:
