Open/Create database
|
Opens the Open/Create dialog, which is used to open an existing on-premise and cloud database or create a new database.
From this dialog you can also select or create named groups to hold one or more databases.

Open another database
|
Opens the Open Another Database dialog.
|
Open a DemandWatch database as guest
|
Opens a DemandWatch database as a read-only guest database.
|
Open transportable database
|
Opens a Windows selection dialog displaying all transportable databases that have a .wspt extension.
|
Open new transportable database
|
Opens a Windows Save As dialog, through which you can select the location and name for a new transportable database.
|
Open database item
|
Used to open a database item within the database from a path. Choosing the menu item displays the
Open Item dialog. Enter the full path of the item to be opened and click OK. The full path can be copied from the Object Page of the
Properties dialog of a Database Item. This command is useful for opening an item from a path sent between users. Available whenever a Database is open.

Open model group
|
Opens a model group within the database. Automatically closes any model group that is currently open. Available whenever a Database is open.
|
Open general group
|
Opens a model group in the
General Group Window, and automatically closes any model group that is currently open in that window. Available whenever a Database is open.

|
Recent databases
|
Allows selection of on-premise and cloud database from a list of the last 10 on-premise and cloud databases previously opened.
When a database is selected from the list the
working folder will also be changed to the working folder associated with the selected database.

|
Closes the current model group in the
Model Group window.
Availability: Whenever a model group is open.

|

Database settings
|
Cloud database management
|
Provides access to the Info360 Model Management web portal where you can
manage cloud databases.
This is available whenever a cloud database is the active database.
|
Users and permissions
|
Opens the Users And Permissions dialog.
|
IWLive permissions
|
If available, opens the IWLive Permissions dialog, which is used for setting up permissions to control access to various areas of the
IWLive Pro Operator Client software application.
|
Get database identifier
|
Initially opens the Open Another Database dialog. You use this to select the database whose identifier you want to obtain. You then use a Windows Save As dialog to choose the name and location of the .dat file that will contain the database identifier.
|
Emergency permissions reset
|
Use this option to begin the process of granting an administrator access to a database with permissions implemented. Opens a message dialog. Read the instructions in the dialog before proceeding.
|
Cloud database management
|
This opens a web portal where you can manage cloud databases. This web portal allows database backup, recovery, deletion, and renaming. Note that certain actions may only be done by administrators.
|
User defined flags
|
Displays a list of existing flags and enables new flags to be created. See
Data flags.
|
User defined field names
|
Opens the User Defined Field Names dialog. See Editing global user defined field names.
|
User custom actions
|
Opens the
User Custom Actions dialog, used to create and edit custom actions that apply only to the current user.
|
Shared custom actions
|
Opens the
Shared Custom Actions dialog, used to create and edit custom actions that apply to all users.
|
Live data flags
|
Enables viewing and editing of the list of flags applicable to the current Live Data. See
Live data flags.
|
Default logo
|
Opens the Default Logo dialog, which is used to select the logo to be applied to printouts for the current database. See Setting the default logo.
|
Set remote roots
|
Opens the Set Remote Roots dialog, which is used to set the directories to which data saved outside of the database will be written.
|
Set configuration root
|
Opens the
Set Configuration Root dialog, enabling you to specify the folder path to be used as the configuration root. The configuration root is a directory where the configuration (IWO) file for an Oracle database is stored.
|
Use merge version control
|
If checked, the merge method of version control will be applied. See Version controlled objects.
|
|
Database update
|
Update database
|
Opens the Open/Create dialog, which you use to select the database to be updated.
|
Update transportable database
|
Opens the
Update Transportable Database dialog, which you use to select the transportable database to be updated.
|
|
Save
|
Save changes to the data that is currently being edited. Most data in
InfoWorks WS Pro is saved automatically so this option is not often available.
Availability: Whenever the current view is of a type that is not saved automatically.

Save as
|
Save the current database item as a different item within the database. Choosing the menu item displays a
Common Tree Selection dialog. Browse for the location to which the item is to be saved, enter a name for the item and click Save.
Availability: Whenever the current database item can be saved as a new object elsewhere in the database.

Print…
|
Print the currently active window. There are a number of special options available when printing the
GeoPlan window that allow customisation of the printed output.
Availability: Whenever there is an active window.

Print preview
|
Display a preview of what will be printed when the print command is used. Click the Close button to close the preview. The current item will remain open.

Print setup
|
Enables changes to be made to the printer setup, including which printer to use, paper size and orientation.
Availability: Always

Page setup
|
Enables changes to be made to the page setup for printing, including margins and title block options. Choosing this menu item will display a Page Setup dialog. The options on the dialog will vary depending on the type of view that is currently open.

Log out and exit
|
Only available in Autodesk
InfoWorks WS Pro
Viewer.
Signs out of Autodesk account and closes the
InfoWorks WS Pro application.
