To Create a Majority Symbol for Edge Symbols (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

1. Click Annotate tab Symbols panel Edge Symbol . Find
   Note: Edge symbols are supported only for the DIN, GB, JIS, and ISO standards.
2. In the drawing area, click an empty area to specify the start point for the leader.
   Note: To create a majority symbol, the symbol must not be attached to any geometry.
3. Specify the second point of the edge symbol leader and press Enter.
4. In the Edge Symbol dialog box, specify the edge requirements for the edges for which you do not intend to create individual edge symbols.
5. Select Place as majority.

   In the ISO 13715:2017(E) revision, select the Place as majority symbol with condition of all edges with more than one exception.

6. To specify how the majority symbol is displayed:
   1. Click Settings.
   2. Select the Full List option to display the requirements of edge symbols placed elsewhere in the drawing. Select the Simplified option to display only the basic symbol.
   3. Click OK.
7. Click OK.
