Working with Manifest Deployments

Manifest deployment objects behave differently compared to the other database items:

• Manifest deployments reside in a Live group, therefore a Live group and not a Model group should be right-clicked in the Explorer Window to create a manifest deployment.
• To save a manifest deployment, either click (Close) in the top right corner of the manifest and select Yes when prompted to confirm the saving, or click (Save) in the File toolbar.
• Deployed manifest deployments are read-only once deployed. Deployed manifest deployments are identified by a Deployed caption in their title bar. To make them editable again, click the Undeploy button in the manifest deployment.
• Manifest deployments are automatically validated when they are deployed for use in the ICMLive Operator Client. It is also possible to validate them yourself (described below).

Define a manifest deployment

1. Open the manifest deployment.
2. Add one or more manifests to the Manifest droptarget in the manifest deployment.
3. If you have an existing theme that you want to use for displaying any areas of interest (AOI) or alert counts or priorities the Overview GeoExplorer in ICMLive Operator Client, add it to the Theme droptraget.
   Tip: You can create a new theme, or edit an exiting one in a GeoExplorer Window, when the Overview GeoExplorer associated with this manifest deployment, has been automatically generated by InfoWorks ICM.
4. If you want layers displayed in the Overview page in the ICMLive Operator Client, add the applicable layer list to Layer list droptraget.
5. Click to save the manifest deployment or Deploy to deploy it for use in ICMLive Operator Client.

   The manifest deployment is validated automatically. Any error, warning or information manifest deployment validation messages are displayed in the Output Window.

   If necessary, correct any errors, and then save or deploy it again.

Validate a manifest deployment

The manifest deployment is automatically validated by ICM when you save or deploy it. However you can validate it yourself as described below:

1. Open the manifest deployment.
2. Click (Validate) in the Validation toolbar.
3. InfoWorks ICM displays the Output Window, where any error, warning or information manifest deployment validation messages are displayed. Use the window options to investigate the corresponding fields and make corrections, where required.
4. If you make any changes, validate the manifest deployment again.

   When the manifest deployment contains no errors:

5. Click to save it.
6. Close the Output window.
