Specifies the formatting for the numbering values assigned to elements by the numbering template.

<Number> - the incremental value assigned within a sequence. When combined with the selected parameter and prefix/suffix, all values are merged into a single value.
Number sequence

First number in the sequence - Specifies whether to include the first number in the sequence. Select one of the options in the drop-down menu.

Show <Number> values as - Specifies if <Number> should be displayed as letters or Numbers. For example, when using letters, the format is A, B, C, … Z, AA, AB, …

Select the minimum digit count for <Number> - Specifies the minimum number of digits to display in a sequence. For example, when set to 5 digits, <Number> = 3 displays as 00003
Number label formatting
Specifies parameters to use for the number value, as well as their order, prefix, suffix and separators.
Steps:
- From the drop-down, select the category from which to add parameters.
Note: If the filter used for the numbering template is selecting multiple categories, options in the drop-down menu include <Common> - parameters that are common to all categories, <All> - to show all parameters from all categories. For some element categories, this drop-down also shows associated categories (e.g., To Room, From Room for Doors).
- Select from the list of available parameters and click the right arrow to add to the label.
Note: The list shows all available parameters for the selected categories; it includes built-in or shared parameters, type and instance.
- To remove a parameter from the table, select it and click the left arrow.
- Use the up and down arrows to order the parameters for the label and set prefix, suffix, and separators as needed.
Note: Check the label preview field above the table. This represents a preview compiled using the Sample Values added in the table.
- Click OK to accept the changes and return to the Numbering options dialog.
