Join the Forma Connected Client Tech Preview

To participate in the tech preview, the project administrator must join the Forma Connected Client Tech Preview for each Forma project where you want to try its capabilities.

By joining the Forma Connected Client Tech Preview, you gain access to a growing portfolio of workflows powered by the Forma industry cloud. See About the Forma Connected Client Tech Preview.

Note:

To join the tech preview

  1. For all Revit cloud models that are part of the project, ask users to save their work and exit the models.

No users should work in these models until the process to join the tech preview is complete.

  2. As the project administrator for the Forma project, sign into Forma Data Management, and open the Project Admin module.

To access Forma Data Management directly, use the appropriate link, based on the region where the project data is stored:

Additional regional data centers may be added in the future.

  3. Select the relevant project.
Note: If the project opens in a Forma product other than Data Management, click the product picker and switch to Data Management.
  4. In the left pane, click Settings.
  5. In the Settings window, click the Revit tab.
  6. For Forma Connected Client, click the toggle to join the tech preview.

The Autodesk Tech Preview Terms and Conditions display in a window. You can also review them here.

  7. Read the terms and conditions, and click Accept.
  8. In the Enable dialog, read the information, and click Enable.

The cloud models in the project are processed for use in Forma workflows. This process can take up to 30 minutes.

When the process is complete, all Revit cloud models related to this Forma project can now use the Forma tools.
