Manage Server License
Set the license that the Vault Server uses. Configure a Single User license or a Network License in the ADMS Console. This also supports Autodesk ID sign-in for the Vault Thin Client. By default, the Vault Server uses the Single User license.
Note: The Vault Server does not support multi-modal licensing. Use only one license type at a time: a Single User license or Network licenses.
License Server Models
For a Network License, choose a license server model and input the license server address with the correct separator:
- Single Server - Input one license server. Do not use a separator.
- Redundant Server - Input up to three license servers. Separate each address with a comma (,).
- Distributed Server - Input more than one license server. Separate each address with a semicolon (;).
- In the ADMS Console, select Tools > Administration.
- In the Global Settings dialog, select the Advanced Settings tab, go to the Manage Server License section, then select Manage.
- Select the license type. For a Network License, input the license server address into the input field. Use the server models and separators above.
- Click OK.
Note: If you switch the license type or update the license server address, restart Internet Information Services (IIS) on the Vault Server to reinitialize the license settings.
Enable Autodesk ID Sign-In (Cloud-Based Licensing)
To let Thin Client users sign in with an Autodesk ID, register an Autodesk Platform Services (APS) web application. Then add its Client ID in the ADMS Console over a secure (HTTPS) connection with a digital certificate.
