This bottom band of tools helps you to visualise and monitor the optimisation process.
These tools include the following:
About. Displays the About dialog for Grading Optimization.
Preferences. Opens the Preferences dialog in which to specify surface geometry rendering settings.
Visualisation Toolbar. Opens the toolbar at the top of the Visualisation Display in which you select Themes, Hydrology and Topology options for the optimisation.
Optimisation Progress Meter. Displays the progress of the optimisation stages. When highlighted and ticked:
Prepare. Loads the grading objects, their location and constraint settings.
Retriangulate. Surface retriangulation is completed based on the grading object location and configuration.
Precheck. The surface and objects are processed for any preliminary errors that could prevent optimisation.
Optimise. The surface has been optimised to both the global and object-level constraints.
Optimisation Options. Opens the Optimisation Options dialog in which you can specify global slope constraints, optimisation iterations and objective weights.
Optimise. Starts the optimisation process. Click Stop to end the optimisation.
Reset. Resets the surface to its previous state.
Notification Centre. Indicates the number of potential issues in the optimisation. Click to open and close the Notification Centre to view the issues and suggested solutions.
Update Drawing. Updates the source drawing with the optimised surface gradients, feature lines and points.
