Dashboards allow you to create application specific widget collections such as Building Energy Performance, Climate Data, and Renewable Energy Generation. Sample dashboards are available, using a collection of sample widgets. When you first use Project Solon, data from a stock project (Autodesk Benchtop Commercial Office Project), is automatically associated with the widgets used by the example dashboards.
Managing Lists
From the Project Solon Home page you will see a list of recent Dashboards. To see all Dashboards, or to perform an action on a Dashboard, click on “View all Dashboards” at the bottom of the list. Or from the Project Solon home page, click on the icon at the top left of the screen to expand the asset library and click on the “Dashboards” icon. From the Dashboard list view you can sort and filter Dashboards by the various columns. You can manage which columns you wish to view by clicking on “More Actions” at the top right of the screen and choosing “Display Columns. This will open a list of available columns to choose from. Click on the columns you wish to view and close the window list by either clicking on the “x,” or clicking anywhere outside of the window. You can also perform actions from the list view, such as copy, delete, or create new. You can only delete Dashboards for which you have permissions.
Create a new Dashboard by navigating to the Dashboard list view by clicking on the page icon on the top left of the screen, then click on the dashboard icon. Click on “Create New” from the top right of the screen. This will open the Dashboard editor page.
Name your Dashboard by clicking on “Add Title.” If you choose not to name your Dashboard it will be named “Untitled.”
To add a description of your widget, click “More Actions” in the top right corner of the screen, then select “Info”.
To begin adding widgets to your Dashboard click on “Widgets” from the top right of the screen. Icons of each chart type associated with the widgets will appear in a new window. The name of each widget will appear as you mouse over each icon. Select the widget you wish to add to your Dashboard and drag them onto the Dashboard canvas. You can rearrange the order of the widgets in the Dashboard by selecting them from the canvas and dragging them into a different position. You can remove widgets from the Dashboard by mousing over them and clicking on the "x”.
If there are currently no runs associated with your widgets, when you drag a widget onto the Dashboard canvas the widget chart will be blank. You can associate a different Project and Project Run to the widgets in your Dashboard by clicking on “More Actions,” select “Test Environment,” then select the Project you wish to review. The results will reload to dynamically display results from the selected Project Run.
