Project Solon is a platform within Green Building Studio which enables you to customize how you review, analyze, and communicate the energy analysis results of your Revit or Vasari projects. Project Solon allows you to configure analysis charts and information (Widgets) and build customized collections of the Widgets (Dashboards).
Project Solon can be accessed by logging into the Green Building Studio home page and clicking Project Solon in the upper right hand of the screen.
Relationship between the Project Solon Assets
Project Solon uses the concept of multiple interlinked assets.
- Widgets allow you to define a custom dynamic chart, such as Monthly Energy Use.Each time you use a widget on your project, it will update with the results of the current model simulation.
- Dashboards are collections of widgets that allow you to organize multiple building performance charts on one screen.
- BPApps (Building Performance Applications) and Templates These features will be enabled in future releases of Green Building Studio. They enable Dashboards to be organized and automatically assigned to your projects.In this way you can standardize analyses at your firm, or simply present data the way you want using customized charts. A template is a collection holding all project runsets, analysis widgets (organized in BPApps and Dashboards), and the assignment criteria used to determine how the template is automatically applied to a project.

A Runset is a collection of runs with varying parameter values customized by you. The Runset feature is a way to study the impact of varying a set of parameters, and their effect your project’s energy usage.
