Sending Notifications
Most of the application design tools discussed up to this point deal with visualizing data, the perception side of the digital nervous system provided by Fusion Connect. Much of the value provided by Fusion Connect is not simply to bring in data and visualize it, however, but also to act upon that data, and one of the main tools for creating a real-world response to data is to send notifications. The five sub-sections of this topic will cover all aspects of Fusion Connect's flow for sending notifications.
- The Event Types section will discuss the final component of the Fusion Connect data model, which provides a digital representation of real-world events or special issues that warrant some kind of response.
- The Notifications page will explain the different types of notifications and logs an application can send or create.
- The Event Log section will introduce the application page of the same name, which maintains a record of all events that have occurred.
- The Distribution Lists page will describe how to create lists of users to which the system can send email notifications.
- The Subscriptions section will explain how users can add themselves to some distribution lists.
