This functionality is provided as a preview
of intended future API capabilities. You are encouraged to use it and report any problems or suggestions using the
Fusion API and Scripts forum.
Because this is a preview of future functionality, there is the possibility that it will change, which will possibly
break any existing programs that use this functionality. Because of that, you should never deliver any programs that use
any preview capabilities. For a distributed program, you should wait until it has moved from preview to released state.
Defined in namespace "adsk::fusion" and the header file is <Fusion/SheetMetal/FlangeFeatures.h>
Description
Creates a ContourFlangeInput object. Use methods on this object to define the settings for a contour flange and then use the add method, passing in the ContourFlangeInput object to create the contour flange feature.
After creating the input, the extent direction defaults to a one-sided extent, and the distance defines the length of the flange in that direction. To define a different extent use one of the methods on the input object to specify the extent type and the values required.
Returns the newly created ContourFlangeInput object or null if the creation failed.
Parameters
Name
Type
Description
profiles
Profile[]
An array of open profiles that define the shape of the contour flange. The profiles can be in different sketches but must be parallel to one another.
distance
ValueInput
The extrusion distance for the contour flange. When creating the input, the extent direction defaults to a one-sided extent, and the distance defines the length of the flange in that direction. This value will be used to create the parameter that defines the flange distance. If it is a real value it will be interpreted as centimeters. If it is a string it behaves the same as entering the value in the command dialog. A string like "3.5" will be 3.5 of whatever the current design units are. You can also specify the units as part of the string so "3.5 in" is valid. You can also define equations like "length / 2" where length is the name of an existing parameter.
