TSplineBodies.createPlaneInput Method

Parent Object: TSplineBodies
Defined in namespace "adsk::fusion" and the header file is <Fusion/TSpline/TSplineBodies.h>

Description

Creates a TSplinePlaneInput object that is used to define all of the input required to create a plane shaped T-Spline body. The fully defined TSplinePlaneInput object is passed into the add method to create the actual T-Spline body. The origin, xDirection, and yDirection define a coordinate system in space where length is x, width is y.

Additional settings can be defined using the returned TSplinePlaneInput object.

Syntax

"tSplineBodies_var" is a variable referencing a TSplineBodies object.

returnValue = tSplineBodies_var.createPlaneInput(origin, xDirection, yDirection, xSize, ySize)

Return Value

Type Description
TSplinePlaneInput Returns the newly created TSplinePlaneInput object or null if the creation failed.

Parameters

Name Type Description
origin Point3D The corner point of the plane. The xSize and ySize are measured from this point in the X and Y directions.
xDirection Vector3D A vector defining the X direction.
yDirection Vector3D A vector defining the Y direction. This should be perpendicular to the xDirection.
xSize double The size of the plane in the X direction in centimeters.
ySize double The size of the plane in the Y direction in centimeters.
