Edit In Place associativity
You can control associativity for Edit In Place sessions in Fusion.
There are two associativity options:
- Associative
- Non-Associative
Associative (default)
When associativity is set to Associative, you can:
- Add features to a component or edit its existing features, as if you were editing it in a separate tab.
- See other components in context within the design.
- Measure to other components in the design.
- Reference the geometry of other components in the design.
- Create an Assembly Context in the design.
Non-Associative
When associativity is set to Non-Associative, you can:
- Add features to a component or edit its existing features, as if you were editing it in a separate tab.
- See other components in context within the design.
- Measure to other components in the design.
You cannot:
- Reference the geometry of other components in the design.
- Create an Assembly Context in the design.
